GMPC-Policy on Appeal

The GMPC aims to maintain the high standard expected by readers. Therefore, our editorial team carefully assesses the decision to reject a manuscript whose expertise covers a wide variety of our journal's scope. Appeals will be treated case by case under exceptional circumstances such as scientific misunderstanding, unseen technical errors during the evaluation process and/or potential conflict of interests. Violations of our publication ethics policy, guidelines for authorship, misconduct such as plagiarism and data fabrication, and ethical approvals of research involving human or animal subjects will not be reconsidered.
Authors may appeal a rejection decision by sending an appeal to the GMPC-Editorial office via email at [email protected] by the submitting corresponding author. The appeal must provide a detailed justification giving specific responses to the editor's and/or reviewer's comments that led to the rejection decision using the GMPC appeal form . GMPC editorial office handles all appeals following the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
Authors can provide additional data to be considered evidence, including technical errors or conflicts with editors/reviewers.

GMPC-appeal´s handling Process

After receiving the appeal, the managing editor will forward the appeal, the manuscript, and all related information to the editor who handled the original manuscript or a newly designated editor or associate editor according to the nature of the appeal. Authors shouldn't submit their work to another journal until receiving the final decision from the handling editor. A professional approach should be maintained when reviewers or editors request a re-consideration of the rejected manuscript. The designated academic editor may confirm the previous decision, request a revised manuscript, or invite new reviewers. At this stage, a rejection decision approved by the editor-in-chief is final.
