Copyrights and Permissions

  • The copyrights of open access articles in the German Multidisciplinary Publishing Center (GMPC) journals are retained by the author(s).
  • Authors grant GMPC a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.
  • Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely considering that the work integrity, original authors and citation details are maintained and the GMPC publisher are identified.
  • On acceptance, published articles by GMPC academic journals are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY- NC)
  • The authors rights include:
    • Patent and trademark rights
    • The use of their research data freely without any restriction
    • Receiving proper attribution/citation of their published work
    • Re-use their own material in new works without permission or payment (considering full credit/citation of the original article), for example:
      • Reproduction of an article to book length
      • Inclusion of their published articles in a subsequent compilation of their own work (e.g., thesis /dissertations)
      • Sharing their published articles for scholarly purposes (considering full credit/citation of the original article):
        • Electronic and physical distribution of copies is permitted
        • Conferences presentations
    • Public sharing is permitted at any website or repository at any time (considering full credit/citation of the original article)
  • Author's institution rights
    • The author's institution has the right to use articles for classroom teaching and internal training considering full credit/citation of the original article
    • Electronic or hard copy distribution for classroom teaching and internal training purposes
    • Applications for grant funding
    • Theses and dissertations considering the inclusion of the final published articles
